Bird of the Day and I love this early morning visit from our favorite lady Cardinal. Fantastic sunrise light! Volume up to hear her.
Bird of the Day
This Carolina Wren dropped in for a meal and hung out for a bit.
Bird of the Day
These beautiful Eastern Bluebirds continue to drop in. They go crazy for the mealworms. Beautiful and chatty birds.
Bird of the Day
Bird of the Day is this Northern Cardinal. He and his mate hit the Buttervale Buffet nearly every day.
Trying a YouTube Video
Still sorting out the workflows and how I can most easily post the videos from my bird cameras.
Bird Camera Evolving
I have had a few weeks off from Bird of the Day postings on Facebook, but things are evolving. I am setting up a blog where I can better organize and share the images and audio that I will be capturing. See for example…the Birdbath Cam…coming online soon. It does cool slo mo.

Became Self Aware
Welcome to Buttervale
Well… here we are.
The Buttervale Life is officially underway.
What started as conversations during the pandemic eventually became a real multigenerational homestead where family, grandkids, gardening, wild birds, projects, RV adventures, all somehow fit together.
This little corner of the internet will be part life journal, part homestead diary, part travel log, and part collection of whatever seems meaningful (or amusing) at the time.
Mostly, this is simply a place to document the journey.
No perfect homestead photos.
No pretending we have everything figured out.
Just real life, shared as it unfolds.
